1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ACT Capital Driving School website and booking platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services

ACT Capital Driving School provides professional driving instruction throughout the Canberra region, including:

• Driving lessons
• Test preparation
• Pickup and drop-off services
• Online lesson booking
• Lesson scheduling and management

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation unless otherwise agreed.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

4. Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for:

• Providing accurate booking information
• Holding a valid learner's permit issued by Access Canberra
• Presenting the learner's permit before each lesson
• Arriving on time
• Following all lawful instructions given by the instructor
• Informing us of any changes affecting scheduled lessons

Students under 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent where required by law.

5. Cancellation Policy

Lessons cancelled at least 12 hours before the scheduled lesson will receive an automatic full refund through Stripe.

Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled lesson may not be eligible for a refund unless otherwise required by applicable law.

6. Google Calendar Integration

Our administration platform includes an optional Google Calendar integration available exclusively to the business owner/instructor.

By connecting a Google Account, the instructor authorizes ACT Capital Driving School to:

• Create lesson events
• Update lesson events
• Delete lesson events
• Read calendar availability
• Synchronise lesson schedules
• Manage calendar functionality necessary for lesson scheduling

Google Calendar access is used solely to provide scheduling functionality.

Students cannot access the instructor's Google Calendar.

The instructor may disconnect Google Calendar at any time.

7. Safety

Safety is our highest priority.

The instructor may terminate or refuse a lesson if a student:

• Appears under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Behaves in an unsafe or aggressive manner
• Refuses to follow safety instructions
• Creates dangerous driving conditions

8. Liability

ACT Capital Driving School maintains appropriate insurance for driving lessons.

Students remain responsible for traffic infringements or penalties resulting from their own unlawful driving behaviour where permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ACT Capital Driving School shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or booking platform.

9. Website Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted access to our booking platform.

However, we do not guarantee continuous availability and may suspend services temporarily for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time.

Updated versions will be published on this website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
